RED SOX 2007 WORLD CHAMPS!!!

After 86 years, the Sox did it in 2004.

On October 28, 2007... they did it again!

Congratulations to my favorite baseball team: the Boston Red Sox.

Despite disagreeing with how management of the team works, I'm so happy to be a fan. Red Sox Nation is proud of you.

Now, if management could friggin' RESIGN MIKE LOWELL!!!

My hatred for Dunkin Donuts & their inconsiderate customers

My kvetch of the day #2: (don't remember the date)

Every morning I have to drive by the local Dunkin Donuts to get out of the city on my way to work. One particular morning, about a half dozen cars decided to wait in line for the drive thru on the street, oh-so-nicely blocking the entire lane from anyone trying to get around. I squeezed my way by, tooting my horn as I went by each car. I had so wanted to gun it, blaring my horn through the intersection but the light had JUST turned red, sufficiently & abruptly ending my peel out of vengence.

There's a Dunkin Donuts in Pittsfield that has a $50 fine for standing in the road. I wish they'd put that into effect here.

Moronic drivers

My kvetch of the day #1: (From 9/28/07)

Idiots that run red lights & then when you lean on the horn at them, they look at you like "What did I do?"

The idiot I encountered this morning would've slammed into my driver-side if I hadn't waited a few seconds after the light turned green. I always wait for any moving vehicles to stop before I go on green because I'd had the exact same thing pulling out from the local mall.

People just don't care.

Leon Redbone & Loudon Wainwright III concert at The Egg

I went to this concert last night & it was awesome! The 450 some-odd seat venue was nearly full & the crowd was into it. There was laughter & the occasional request thrown out. It ran about 2.5 hours including intermission. There was not a bad seat in the house.

Redbone plays music with a 20s/30s twinge. Wainwright's music has a comedic twinge, but with a feel of true-to-life stories.
